Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. The music of DiFranco has been described as folk music and alternative rock however it is also influenced by punk hip hop, hip-hop and jazz. Widely considered a feminist icon Grammy recipient Ani DiFranco was the founder of the DIY movement, and was among the first artists to create her own label 1990. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970 in the city of Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who was introduced to Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother is from Montreal and her father comes from Italian origins. Ani DiFranco composed and performed 32 Flavors. The song is featured on her album Not a Pretty Girl released in 1995.
